I plan on setting up a mixed reef tank (SPS/LPS) with most of the flow in the upper 1/3 of tank. The Great Bahama Banks has been accumulating oolitic sand in the late Cretaceous period and contains the largest reservoir of oolitic aragonite sand in the world. Digital terrain models developed for these modern sand bodies on the Great Bahama Bank and the ancient Miami oolite were used as the basis for the definition of shoals, shoal crests (peaks). Here are my current choices: Aragamax Sugar-Sized Reef Sand (0.2 - 1.2mm) Aragamax. I have narrowed it down to a few CaribSea types of sand and would like some advice on which to go for.
